However, the <em>eating of  fresh fruits</em> and nuts after meal may sound very ancient; believe it or not,  this practice is considered as a recent <em>development  in Western dining</em>.</p>
<p>Traditionally, fruits were readily utilized because they are  more common and easily obtainable to all levels of society. Sugar and sweet  were then just a privilege to the rich and the famous, and that’s only on rare  holidays!</p>
