In fact, stores couldn’t get enough of them to fill the demands for the holidays. Many people were paying thousands of dollars for them on eBay and other online auction sites. There were also plenty of charity fundraisers selling high volumes of tickets due to the prize being a Nintendo Wii.
The history of Nintendo Wii:

Playing video games is to be fun and so most people don’t associate safety with it. Yet the makers of the Nintendo Wii have issued some safety warnings for their products. It doesn’t mean they are a threat to the well being of those playing such games.
However, Nintendo does want to be responsible and let the various safety concerns be known. That way both children and adults can benefit from what Wii has to offer as much as possible.
Safety and the Nintendo Wii:
Research has shown that a small percentage of the population can experience seizures due to playing various types of video games. This is due to the combination of the graphics that flash on the screen in front of them.
This can occur very suddenly even for individuals who have always seemed to be very healthy. It doesn’t matter how old the individual is either.
It is believed these are most likely to occur when the individual is sitting very close to the TV screen. It is also more common when a big screen TV is being used instead of a smaller one. Try to move as far back from the screen as possible while playing.
