Crystal Cave Park is the most famous natural attraction in Pennsylvania. The magnificent underground natural wonder is located near Kutztown, and has been visited by millions of people since its discovery in 1871.
Crystal Cave is so-called because of the sparkling display of unblemished calcium crystals that were slowly and exquisitely carved by nature through the ages.
Centuries ago, drops of water surfaced from tiny cracks in the cave’s ceiling and ran down the wall leaving millions of glistening crystals.
Striking flowstone formations happen when water that runs down the walls of the cave stretches out over the surface resulting in white flowstones that look like waterfalls.
The Crystal Cave Park offers educational underground tours which is a forty-five minute interpretative tour that includes an eight-minute video presentation in the Crystal Cave Theater, which narrates the theory of the cave formation and the wonders of nature.
Polite and trained guides lead the tour through a range of impressive milky white stalagmites, stalactites, and pillar and dropstone formations enhanced by indirect light.
The tour includes viewing the marvels of stone sculpture such as The Giant’s Tooth, The Prairie Dogs, Tobacco Leaves, the Ear of Corn, the Natural Bridge, the Totem Pole, the Indian Head, and the Crystal Ballroom.

Throughout history, the use of crystal balls as a means of divination in an art process called “scrying”, has been evidently known to exist. Crystal balls sometimes known as shew stones have been believed to aid in clairvoyance.
Facts on the use of crystal balls as a way of foretelling in medieval times were by no means rare in Roman and Greek periods.
As early as 2000 B.C., Celtic tribes known to exist in Britain during this period were joined by a priesthood known as Druids. Druids were one of the earliest identified people to have used crystals in divination.
Druid religion interestingly, had similarities to megalithic religion of an “earlier” Britain; hence the possibility of the first use of crystal balls divination might have originated from them.
Crystal balls used for the art of “scrying”, which is an ancient technique or process of “seeing” where images are seen in crystals, or other mediums such as water, are understood as meaningful information, and in turn used to make important decisions in one’s aspect of life such as finances, marriage, travel, business, love, and many more.

Baccarat Crystal is one of the leading manufacturers of fine crystal located in Baccarat, France. The founding of Baccarat Crystal dates back to 1764, when King Louis XV of France gave consent to Bishop de Montmorency-Laval to establish a glassworks in the village of Baccarat situated in Lorraine eastern France.
In November 15th of 1816, their first crystal oven went into operation and up till then the glassworks only produced mirrors, window panes, and stemware. There were over three thousand workers employed at the site during that time.
In 1823, Baccarat Crystal received the first royal commission from King Louis XVIII of France, which started a prolonged line of commissions for royalty and heads of state all over the world. This was the time of strong international growth for Baccarat Crystal.
Baccarat Crystal started making its crystal works with a registered mark in 1860, where the mark was attached to the bottom of the work.
The production of Baccarat crystals stretched its scope throughout that time, and they built an international reputation for crafting the most excellent quality of chandeliers, barware, stemware, and perfume bottles.
