If tropical fish are your cup of tea, you might be interested in finding a good tropical fish exporter to help you with your fish needs. They specialize in transporting and exporting the tropical fish from their homelands and bringing them in for a domestic turn in your home.

A tropical fish exporter can also provide you with as much information as you need in terms of taking care of the tropical fish and maintaining a good place for it to live in your home.

If you have any questions about your tropical fish, you can ask the exporter for more information and they will be glad to help.

Most exporters have clear policies in place that ensure that you will get what you pay for. This emphasis on customer satisfaction and product guarantee is part of why a tropical fish exporter can be the best choice for obtaining your latest exotic pet.

They offer full support for the fish, too, including having the ability to provide you with any and all of the supplies for your particular fish and answering any questions you might have about your tropical fish.

The exporter has the ability to safely import the fish and the supplies with a quality guarantee, ensuring that the fish is taken care of in the transport process and ensuring that you get what you paid for.

Preventing Loss

Most tropical exporters have alive guarantees, which essentially refer to the measures that they have in place that ensure that you get your fish alive and in good condition when it arrives.

They always ensure that you get the healthiest and best quality fish for your money and that is why they give you that guarantee.

Fish are a great pet to have in the house; they are easy enough to take care of that a young child can be put in charge of the tank, and they are undeniably relaxing to watch. Taking care of aquarium fish is easy; there are just a few things to think about.

Population Density

First, do not be tempted to overcrowd the fish tank. The water will become dirty very quickly leading to high fish mortality. A rough guide is to provide one gallon of water for each inch of aquarium fish.

So a one-gallon tank should, at most, hold two one-inch fish or one two-inch fish. It is always better to under fill than to overfill, so start small.

Water Quality

Very small aquariums can be kept clean without having to plug in a filter or an aerator. But you must still do some things to keep the aquarium fish clean and breathing.

For cleanliness, there are naturally occurring bacteria that will help turn fish waste into inert chemicals; however you still have to change the tank water.

Plan to change at least half of the water every month. Just scoop out one gallon of dirty water and replace it with clean, chemical-free water.

Aquarium fish will also benefit from a little green plant growing in their home. Pet stores generally have a variety of water plants for just a dollar or two.

Pick something that floats free in the water or a little plant to anchor in the gravel at the bottom of the tank. The bright green leaves make the tank look much more relaxing and provide oxygen for the fish.

Larger tanks with more aquarium fish will require a little mechanical help. Filters screen the water in the tank for particles and the whole tank is generally filtered several times a day.

As long as the equipment is in good condition, this helps keep the water clean. But still plan on changing about half the water in the tank every month. Aerators put oxygen in the water for the fish to breathe. An aerator may just make bubbles.

There are also aerators that are a sort of arm that vibrates very quickly just at the surface of the water, getting oxygen to the fish but also creating a low sort of mist just above the tank.

Every few months, any tank will require a little extra cleaning. For a small fish bowl, empty the fish into a small holding container and wash out the whole bowl to clean up algae and fish waste.

Bigger tanks are too cumbersome to hand-wash; you will probably eventually need an aquarium vacuum.

Aquariums are known to bring tranquility and serenity to any space. It is a fact that fish are probably the best pets in the world, low maintenance and yet have the best effect on both the environment and the person who is breeding them.

In order to make the aquarium you own a true piece of art, you need to do more than just keep adding fish – one of those things is aquarium lighting.

Create Your Own Masterpiece

There are many variables available on the market to give you and idea of how you should decorate your aquarium but of course you have to adopt it according to your personality and décor.

Depending on the size of the aquarium, you can make the aquarium lighting create any mood you desire such as, blue accents can transmit tranquility and relax anyone who happens to admire your fish. Such a light can work well as a night light too

There are two main options available which you may want to consider for your aquarium lighting and they are: Kelvin lighting and the Nanometer range spectrum. These variables will generate both heat and light due to which they are generally the most popular choice of aquarium lighting.

There are many other types of aquarium lighting available such as ‘Flora Glo’, ‘Aqua Glo’, ‘Color Max’ and so on.

Depending on the size of your aquarium and your color preferences you can choose, mix and match any color you have in mind to create the ideal lighting that will work both for you and your fish alike.

Helpful Tip

Ensure that you clean the light system regularly as like everything else in the aquarium it will get dirty and can affect your fish in the long run.

Find all the gadgets necessary for your aquarium on sites online if you don’t have a local store handy; many fish fanciers feel that online stores are quiet competitive and efficient.

You can also get tips on how to keep your fish in good health depending on what type of fish you have and how large your aquarium is.

Pets are known to relieve stress and fish are no exception, in fact it is believed that any size of aquarium can influence you in a good way only by watching and admiring the fish everyday.

Therefore, invest in some fish and an aquarium to ultimately invest in your own well being and provide a tranquil environment for yourself.

If you have an aquarium, you will be interested in thinking about putting some tropical ocean fish in it.

In order to do this, however, you should learn a little bit about the fish so that you put it in the right surroundings with all of the proper components to its survival.

It is also important that you take note of the proper tank to put the fish in as some tropical ocean fish need more space than others and would not survive in a smaller tank.

If you are a beginner, there are things you will need to know about setting up your aquarium and about setting up your fish experience that you should discover before you begin.

First of all, make sure as to not buy the tank and the fish on the same day. It may be tempting, but you should make sure that your tank is prepared and ready to go so that you can introduce the fish to a functioning environment right away instead of needing a fish to adapt to your tank.

Tropical ocean fish are born into an environment that works, not introduced to a new space that is forming into its own. This can cause major developmental problems and may cause your fish to die before it even begins to live in your tank.

Be patient and you will find the right process through which to begin.

Learning To Swim

You should never buy tropical ocean fish from a tank where dead or dying fish are visible. The fish from this tank could be infected from the dead or dying fish and will bring that infection to your tank.

You do not want to waste money on a dying fish. You should make sure that you observer your fish carefully before you buy it and check for any damaged fins or gill problems.

When you add your fish from the bag to your tank, you should allow the bag to float in the tank for at least fifteen minutes so that the water from the bag to the tank equalizes and the fish is not improperly transplanted.

You should feed fish lightly when you add the fish so that you can minimize the pollution during the stabilisation period in the tank. Tropical ocean fish often suffer in home tanks from overfeeding as it is the number one error made by beginners.

Add food in small amounts instead and watch the fish eat it. This will enable you to monitor their habits and feed accordingly.

If you are interested in taking care of tropical fish, you will need to find out a lot about them. Finding the best tropical fish info can be a difficult task, but with a little bit of digging you can find out key pieces of information about the fish that you hope to take care of.

With that information, you can start to provide the best place for them to live with the best possible food. You should also know about the water that they prefer to live in and the community around them so that you do not put them in the water with other fish they do not get along with.

This can take a lot of work and diligence, but it can be well worth your while to take care of this. To get you started on the tropical fish info you should be looking for, we will take a look at a few species of tropical fish.

With the tropical fish info provided, you should be able to have a good indication of what type of information you are looking for in terms of your own fish collection.

You should look for information about the tank setup, about the water they like, the temperature of that water, the compatibility issues that may have with other types of tropical fish,

the chemistry of the water as in the acidity of it and the alkaline levels, any feeding details including what they eat and how often they eat, any sexing or breeding issues, and any additional comments that may come in handy.

Types Of Tropical Fish – Examples

Catfish are among the more popular of the tropical fish that you could be looking for. Tropical fish info on the catfish is quite easy to come by, so it may be a good fish type to start with if you are a beginner.

There are lots of species of catfish to choose from and they are hugely popular as home aquarium fish because they are generally easy to look after.

The glass or ghost catfish, for example, is a peaceful community fish that needs a planted tank with swimming spaces that are wide open. They also need a moderate water flow generator so that the water “moves” in the tank.

The diet of the ghost catfish should include live insects and possibly flake food. Tropical fish info on rainbow fish is very exciting because it is a colorful and stimulating fish.

Hailing from Australia or Southeast Asia, the rainbow fish is not known to produce its colorful scaling patterns until they reach adulthood which leads to this fish often being overlooked by people with little tropical fish info.

It can look and appear dull in the tank as a juvenile, but after they reach adulthood they are one of the most fascinatingly beautiful fish you can find on the market.

Tropical fish can combine the joy of a new pet with the fun of learning a new hobby. As with any new undertaking however, learning about how to care for your new fish will be an important step in keeping your pets healthy and happy.

The first item that you will need to educate yourself on is the process involved with setting up your first tropical fish tank.

The tropical fish tank will provide your fish with an optimal habitat for their needs, and give you a place to display your beautiful new acquisitions.

As you shop for your tropical fish tank, keep in mind that bigger is usually better when it comes to the size of your aquarium. You will need to decide how many fish you would like to keep in your tank, and the sizes of those fish.

The best rule of thumb is to make sure you provide one gallon of water per one inch of fish inside. If you are in doubt about what size tropical fish tank to look for, you can ask your pet store for advice and guidance.

The key is not to overcrowd your tank since this will make it much more challenging to keep your water filtered and your tropical fish tank clean.

While you are selecting your tropical fish tank, it is not a bad idea to invest in a smaller aquarium that you can use as a quarantine tank in the event that one of your fish gets sick.

Separating a sick fish immediately can save the rest of your tank from disease. A 10-gallon tropical fish tank is sufficient for this purpose.

Supplies For Your Tropical Fish Tank

Once the tank is chosen, there are a number of supplies that you must add to keep your water safe for the fish to live in. A water filtration system is an absolute must, although the style is not as important as how well it keeps your water clean.

Your pet store should also be able to recommend which filtration system will suit you best. Since water temperature is also an important factor in the health of your tropical fish, equipping your tank with a heating unit and a thermometer is a good idea.

Some other things you can add to your tank are a hood and light which will make it easier to watch your fish, and gravel for the bottom of the tank.

A background paper added to the back of your tank will not only add to the beauty of the aquarium, it may actually help your tropical fish feel a little more at home in their tank.

Other items like plants and rocks can be added for decorative purposes as well. However, always make sure you inquire about the safety of any item before adding it to your tropical fish tank.

The most important feature when it comes to tropical fish keeping is the beauty of the fish. Unlike other common fishes, the tropical fish are generally more alluring and appealing in color.

There are also some other plain tropical fish, but these fish still have some special features that make them special. In short, tropical fish keeping is something anyone can be really proud of.

Many people say that tropical fish keeping is generally tough, but if you were to ask a professional who has been rearing these fish for more than a couple of years; they would say that it is not at all.

Tropical fish keeping is indeed an easy, or to be precise, a moderate job, if you know how to do it properly.

Basically the common tasks of taking care of fish would normally apply here as well. There’s nothing special about that, except that this type of fish generally needs more attention and care; simply because they are from a different environment.

Water And Environment

The most important thing to keep in mind when it comes to tropical fish keeping is always the water and the environment in the aquarium.

Water here does not only refer to the cleanliness, but also refers to the quality, the composition, the health and many other factors. The water needs proper oxygenation, because by nature, tropical fish live in places with high levels of oxygen, unlike other common aquarium fish.

Apart from the water, the temperature and other elements such as pH reading, oxygen content, ammonia levels, nitrate levels and salinity of water readings need to be consistently monitored.

Food And Feeding Requirements

Tropical fish keeping is not hard when it comes to feeding as well. You basically need to provide a proper diet that has 30 to 36 per cent of protein, 10 per cent of fat and a lower amount of carbohydrates.

Since the tropical fish are from warmer parts of the world, particularly in South America and Central Africa, such as freshwater rivers and lakes, most of their food supply sold everywhere also is commonly similar to those found in the lakes.

Most of the time, you can find canned flaked fish foods specially produced for tropical fish keeping purposes. These canned foods have all the required nutrients in a balanced form, and you do not need to provide anything extra than the general feeding doses marked on the packaging.

Many people know that choosing the best tropical fish species for their house setting is something very hard to do. Indeed, it is a very challenging job to choose, simply because there are just so many of them.

If you open up a book on tropical fish, you can find up to 2500 different types and tropical fish species! A tropical fish species originates from the tropical zone, living in warmer areas like freshwater lakes and rivers.

Basically this type of fish would include all those living in water with the temperature of between 72°F and 86°F. But not all types of tropical fish species can be reared at home, due to their inherent nature.

Most of them require really huge areas of swimming space, and the water needs to be maintained very well and oxygenated. For this reason, some tropical fish are best left out to live in the freshwater lakes and rivers, rather than keeping them in small glass containers, we call aquariums.

Common Species Found in Stores

There are basically fewer than ten types of common commercial tropical fish. They are Catfish, Cichlids, Characins, Cyprinids, Anabantoids, Killifish, Oddballs, Discus, the Livebearers, and some others.

These different tropical fish types can generally be found in any fish store, where the sales person would also describe to you the nature of the fish and its demands to be able to survive in an aquarium.

If you were to go around finding the fish according to the genetic species name, you might end up with nothing, because there are just too many to name. There are literally tens of thousands of freshwater tropical fish species, with new ones being discovered almost every day.

All fish are classified by the binomial system, in which the first word would be the family or generic name, and the second later would be the species name. For example, the tropical fish family of Barbus.

Barbus tetrazona and Barbus oligolepis are two of the common species under this family. The first word depicts the Barbus family, and the second one the species.

Generally there are known to be over twenty different families of tropical fish species. Each of these families may contain up to five to ten thousands of different species.

Some famous families are such as the Poecilidae, Callichthyidae, Characidae, Cichlidae, Cobitidae, Cyprinidae, Cyprinodontidae, Anabantidae family, and so many more.

Tropical fish can be a delightful addition to your family, and a fun and interesting hobby for all involved. The key to successfully owning an aquarium full of tropical fish is to know how to care for them wisely.

It is up to you to maintain their habitat and care for your tropical fish so that they can be healthy and happy in your home. The best rule of thumb here is to research the care of tropical fish before making your initial investment.

There are a number of websites available with regularly updated information and advice from experienced fish owners. You can also choose from many books on tropical fish and their care.

If you are looking to turn tropical fish into a hobby, there are even magazines that you can subscribe to that will give you news in the industry as well as relevant information about tropical fish care.

Selecting A Tank – The First Step In Tropical Fish Care

Your fish will spend their entire lives in the aquarium that you select for them, so your research should begin with how to select the appropriate tank for your fish.

The bigger your tank, the easier it will be to keep clean and regulate water temperature. The location of your tank in your home will also be important in the care of your tropical fish.

For example, if you place a tank by a window that receives direct sunlight it can affect the temperature of your tank as well as contribute to a problem of green algae. Try to find a spot for your tank that will allow the conditions within your tank to remain as consistent as possible.

Once your tank is situated, do not add fish immediately. Give the water a chance to cycle through and make sure that your filter and heater are working properly.

When you do bring your fish home, acclimate them one at a time to the aquarium by adding a little of the tank water to the water they came home in, before placing your fish directly in your aquarium.

Tropical fish care will also include the feeding of your fish, and this needs to be done carefully as well. Overfeeding does not lead to healthy fish, so follow the directions of your pet store precisely when it comes to meal times.

Usually once a day or every other day is sufficient. There are many commercial fish foods on the market that are appropriate for nearly any type of fish, but it is a good idea to research the care of your specific tropical fish to learn how best to feed each one.

Tropical fish are beautiful as well as fun, and can be a hobby to enjoy for many years. The tropical fish care will be the key to keeping them healthy and happy throughout their life spans.

Tropical Fish Breeding can be easily done inside of your aquarium. In fact, there are some instances where you see the pitter patter of baby fish feet when you are not prepared for the expansion.

If you decide to breed your tropical fish, the first thing to keep in mind is that you will need to be able to accommodate the additional fish in an appropriate space.

If you do not have access to this space, and you do not have a resource or someone that will take your new fish off of your hands, you probably do not want to venture into the breeding grounds.

If you do think that tropical fish breeding sounds like something you would like to try, there are a few steps to follow to ensure the success of your tropical fish breeding endeavor.

Bringing Your Tropical Fish Together For Breeding

If you decide to breed your tropical fish, it is best to select a species that is easy to care for. One type of tropical fish that works for breeding is the Betta Splenden, which is also known as the Japanese Fighter Fish.

Although these fish can be territorial, they are generally fairly peaceful fish and extremely easy to keep. For example, the Betta fish does not require a large tank to thrive – it is one of the rare tropical fish that can be perfectly happy in a fish bowl.

In order to condition your tropical fish for breeding, you must feed them a variety of foods for at least a week or two. It is also necessary to keep the water in the bowl absolutely clean with daily changes.

To breed your tropical fish, prepare a 10-gallon tank with plenty of plants, and a Styrofoam cup for nesting. Research the optimum water conditions for breeding, and give your tank a week to establish those conditions.

Place your male in the water first, followed by the female in a glass chimney where the male can see her but not reach her.

When the female shows signs that it is time to breed, your tropical fish should be released to inspect the Styrofoam nest that you placed in the tank and that the male fish has probably prepared for the female to lay her eggs.

Once spawning is complete, the female should be removed from the tank, and the male will take over the daddy duties of caring for the eggs in the nest.

If all goes according to plan, within a few days after spawning the eggs will hatch and you will delight at the tiny fry that will occupy the tank.

Once the eggs hatch, the male can be removed from the tank and you can begin attending to your little ones. Tropical fish breeding can be a very rewarding hobby, and a good way to expand your fish inventory.

With plenty of research and a little luck, you will be on your way to successful tropical fish breeding in no time.
