CAO cigars can be considered one of the hottest brands in the market. It is manufactured by C.A.O. International Inc. – a company that started out with pipes and humidors, before eventually plunging into the cigar business.
The founder of C.A.O. was Cano A. Ozgener. He immigrated to America in the year 1961. From New York, he moved to North Carolina in 1964, then to Nashville in 1968. It was in 1968, leaving his engineering job at DuPont, that he started his business – which then mainly concentrated on pipe products.
It was only in 1980 that he ventured into the cigar business – and his very first cigar offering was the Casa de Manuel – and it was not a hit. As he put it then with that experience, he learned everything what not to do.
So then, he went back to his pipe business and humidor offerings. It was only in 1995 that he reconsidered his cigar business and started selling cigars again.
This time his cigars were made by Nestor Plasencia - a Honduran smoke. These cigars were then simply called C.A.O. For this second try unfortunately, it wasn’t a hit in the cigar market either.

Blame it to pop culture that it was literally overnight when hundreds of then-unknown brands of cigar makers exploded over the market to compete with the existing tobacco makers just to cash in for the overwhelming demand.
The result was a flood of markedly inferior cigars, with tobaccos that aren’t cured correctly, cigars that don’t draw steadily, or cigars that burn too fast and spew a lot of ashes.
So the problem most consumers now face is this: how can you tell the best cigars among dozens of other potential cigars?
The answer for that is indeed simple, and most cigar advocates have no problem whatsoever on identifying which cigars are the best experience.
Whether it is from a Caribbean origin or a Western Europe origin or from the Americas, the best cigars from these parts of the globe carry their respective pride.
Yes, these products who are so often associated with smug self confidence also carry with them that special aura. You only need to know where to look. Here are they:
The makers of tobacco, especially those with a distinguished reputation like to proudly display their colors, their banner and their company name.

One of the most beautiful names that Cuba has ever produced is Belinda. The name Evita of Argentina pales in comparison to Cuba’s Belinda.
Both names have an avid following, but the former used to live in scandals and intrigues while the latter up until this day continues to mesmerize many cigar aficionados because of its charm, allure, taste and aroma.
Evita had long time ago rested in peace and her popularity had died a natural death. Belinda on the other hand is still looked up to by many. The comparison
Belinda is not your ordinary girls’ name. Don’t mistake her for a dictator’s concubine. In fact when the infamous Fidel Castro declared communist rule all over Cuba, Belinda must have been one of those who flew away and sought solace from the calming mountains of Honduras.
Belinda is the name of famous Cuban cigar that many cigar smokers fell in love with. Belinda cigars are now manufactured in Honduras yet following the same tradition that the Cuban cigar rollers practice over the years that make Cuban cigar unparalleled.

It’s surprising how much noxious gas can accumulate when listening to half retards ranting about the ills of economical cigars like White Owl Cigars (take note that I should use economical as opposed to cheap).
White Owl Cigars are economical because they use surplus tobacco that are gathered up and resold to these manufacturing brands of cigars. Not because they have the crappiest tobacco bred on the shabbiest soil and packed in the most despicable plant, no way José.
They are priced lower because they are machine made, tobacco scraps from those materials used to create premium cigars like Cohiba, Romeo y Julieta, Hoyo de Monterrey, Punch… so on and so forth.
All that means, price go down because White Owl Cigars use lesser physical labor. And because it utilizes those surplus materials that are wasted so much by cigar hand makers, the prices yet sinks lower.
In the end, you get an inexpensive cigar which has the tobacco quality (albeit in smaller pieces) of Bolivar, Hoyo de Monterrey and Punch, yet without the price of overhyped handmade cigars.

It seems the world would never run out of choicest cigars. Because every time as one brand will slowly die away, another newcomer will take its place and burn brightly to attract every tobacco aficionado and thus filling the gaps.
It has happened often, from Dunhill to Rocky Patel, cigar brands come and go, and now the latest quality cigar in the scene is from the creative farms of Alec Bradley Cigar Company, the Trilogy cigars.
One fine thing about Trilogy cigars is that they manage to overcome the overhyped stereotyping of Caribbean tobacco. That clearly shows that the finest species of tobacco don’t necessarily come from Cuba or Havana, and that skilled cigar blenders and planters don’t necessarily live on Cuba.
It is a wondrous blessing really that Alec Bradley Cigar Company could offer to the masses a fine cigar of delectable qualities but without having the price tag that usually accompanies Cuban products.
Though it depends largely on the vitola, the formulation for Trilogy cigars is mostly:
- Brazilian, Cameroon, Nicaraguan, or Honduran leaf wrapper;
- filler from Columbia, Nicaragua, Italian, Condega Nicaragua or Jalapa Valley;
- And binder from Indonesia, Havana, African Cameroon, or Honduras.

A cigar is just a cigar no matter how big or small. They relatively give the same satisfaction to cigar smokers. Big cigars may be the most sought by the cigar fanatics, but the small cigars are slowly gaining momentum as far as patronage is concerned.
Small cigars can provide a quickie smoke for those who need a fix. The satisfaction that small cigars give to those who are constrained by time is incomparable since it gives the same smoking pleasure that cigar smokers get from the big ones.
Machine made small cigars are folding in the marketplaces because of the increasing demand of these items.
Besides the machine made production of the small cigars is cost efficient which is favorable for the cigar manufacturers because it saves on the cost of cutting long filler just to fit in the size of the small cigars.
Cigar companies are basically making use of the shredded tobacco leaves as filler and they also used lesser quality wrapper as they are reserving the beast ones for their big cigars which gives higher revenues once sold in the market.
