Boxing Tip No. 1 – Train Hard!
One should not take it easy when it comes to one’s training. One must remember that worse than losing is the fact that you will be beaten up in the process. One should keep in mind that without proper preparation for a fight, you will just be in for trouble.
Train hard! Prepare for every fight as if it is the greatest fight you will ever have. Always think that while you are taking it easy, the other may be working his butt off to get the chance to knock you out.

Each boxer has his own boxing training program that he adheres to. No two training programs should be alike, as each boxer has different strengths and weaknesses.
A boxer should concentrate on training his weaknesses so that he will be more efficient in boxing with his opponent – and so that he will be effective in getting the win.
Depending on what the trainer sees fit for his boxer, so will the specific training approach follow. The main considerations in coming up with a boxing training program are speed, power, coordination, balance and stamina.
All these are necessary so that the boxer will have better chances in defeating his opponent. Concentrating only on one aspect will open up the boxer to weaknesses and can be taken advantage of by the opponent.
Defeat is surely to come with a boxer who doesn’t prepare as much as the other.
Speed
A boxing training program should incorporate exercises that would increase the speed of the boxer – either be it speed in punches, or in footwork. Without this, the boxer will be out-punched by the other and could let the opponent win by points.

The world of boxing is one that is most dynamic. Noted champions cannot just be simply pitted against each other because both opponents have to belong to the same boxing weight classes. Simply put, you cannot expect Lennox Lewis to fight against Bernard Hopkins even of they both desire unless anyone of the two increases or decreases his weight so the both of them will belong to the same boxing weight class.
For professional boxing bouts the boxing weight classes are determined by the different boxing bodies, which may have different weight requirements. However, most of these boxing organizations have a uniform weight requirement on certain boxing weight classes.
For the heavyweight class (201 lb and above / 91.4 kg and above) the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC), and International Boxing Federation (IBF) have the same weight requisite.
The World Boxing Organization on their part has a different weight limit for the heavyweight that is 190 lb above or 86.2 kg and above.
In the cruiserweight category again the three boxing bodies (WBA, WBC, IBF) have the same weight limit, which is 176-200 lb or 90.7 kg, but for the WBO their cruiserweight is called junior heavy weight with a weight requirement of 190 lb or 86.2 kg.

When boxing was first considered as a sport in the ancient Greek civilization, the idea was not only to showcase a grand spectacle wherein gladiators with their clinched fists as their only weapon attack their opponent with the aim to pin him down or worst make him face his death.
Even during those times betting on gladiators or boxers was already prevalent. Each opposing team would put their best man, lest the other camp will win the stakes.
Today, gone are the days wherein boxers fight each other for dear life in those grand coliseums. Boxers are now mounted on top of a ring inside an air-conditioned arena where thousands of people are watching.
However betting for favorite boxers still exist only this time it is becoming more sophisticated. With the advent of modern technology, particularly the Internet online betting is born and so is online betting boxing.
Boxing aficionados would gamble their hard-earned dollars through online betting boxing, which provides better comfort for the gamblers than those days wherein they have to seek the assistance of a broker.

If the long-standing question “should boxing be banned?” is thrown at you what would your ready reply be? Will go you for a NO answer or boldly say YES, or better yet leave the decision to others, lest you would strain your mind in finding the most substantive arguments to justify your answer.
Let use us see what others have to say on why we should or shouldn’t banned boxing.
A group of medical doctors in Europe more specifically the British Medical Association would definitely answer YES if the were asked the question should boxing be banned.
BMA posited that boxing could ultimately affect the boxers in so many ways. According to BMA, the powerful punches that boxers throw to their opponent are enough to make each other faint and unconscious.
The repetitive blows that hits the head of the boxers can practically damaged their brains, thus affecting them in the long run. The brain is likely to be the most vulnerable part of the boxer.
During the exchange of punches, there is a tendency that the blood vessel in the head bursts inside therefore creating a clot, once this happened it would create pressure to tissues of the brain. This might not be manifested at first, but the effects can surface, as the boxer gets older.

WBC, the acronym for World Boxing Council, is the perhaps the most reputable brand name in the “big three” sanctioning organizations, all credit goes to its powerful promoter Don King.
Though it is the WBC President Jose Sulaiman who presides over the matters pertaining to the WBC, many sports pundits would say that it really was the WBC promoter Don King that dictates the flow of the production. And the WBC boxing history has telltale signs for confirmation.
But to give credit to an awe-inspiring character, Don King was the face of boxing in the 1970s and 1980s. No other promotions was as successful as he, that even the sanctioning body on which Don King worked for was, some would say, ready to bend rules.
And again, the WBC boxing history shows several credence to such charge. Like when Leon Spinks won the WBC Heavyweight Championship Belt from Muhammad Ali on 1978 in one of the greatest upset in WBC boxing history.
He was, after the victory, slated to fight another WBC contender Ken Norton. But Leon Spinks opted to go for a rematch against Ali for the WBA title defense, of which he had stripped Ali prior the defense.

“Dance like a butterfly, sting like a bee” was undoubtedly Boxing’s greatest quote.
It was the words Muhammad Ali’s spoke during the buildup of the eagerly anticipated match against Sonny Liston. Ali was the underdog then, and with odds against his favor that bookmakers placed odds at 1:10 favoring Liston.
But when the match started, it was Ali who dominated the canvas, in a show of sheer brilliance, of superb boxing moves.
For many it was also a revealing light, for it was still a time when boxing moves was quite unheard of, that heavy sluggers, brawlers, and in-fighters, in the person of Joe Louis, Tony Galento, and Joe Frazier are the only way to dominate.
But with Muhammad Ali, a new set of boxing moves have been established. A quicker, agility based fighting style.
It is easy to assume a perception that boxing, from the sole need to land a punch on critical areas before your opponent does, is a simple but bloody sport.
And coinciding with the fact that more thickly skulled bashers are typically those that get the limelight, many people are convinced there’s really no such thing as tactics, strategy, or boxing moves in boxing.
