Spaceports For Space Travel – Stepping Stones To An Expended Space Programs!

One of the most important concepts in the development of the space program is the ability to launch new space craft.

It has been a fascination of mankind to gaze out in to the cosmos and wonder about what is there?  For thousands of years, mankind has hoped to reach the stars someday.

Even the trio to the moon would not have been possible without such an incentive on mankind.  As it can be seen, the benefits of space technology and space expansion are really limitless and the advantages that can be achieved are numerous.

As the space travel becomes more frequent the every day benefits of space travel will become even more advantageous.

However, in order to make space flight more common and more inexpensive, it is important to have capable spaceports that will allow the flight of space vehicles become a common occurrence.   This is quite important as the future of space travel lies in the ability to launch commercial space craft.

As long as the future of the expansion in to space lies in the hands of the government, the real breakthroughs just would not be achieved fast enough.  However if space program is also advanced by private entrepreneurs then it would be possible and an everyday occurrence for us to travel into the outer space.

In fact, Virgin Galactic, which is a company, formed for outer space travels have stated its intentions to allow normal everyday people to travel into outer space for couple of thousand dollars by the year 2020.

This is an important stepping stone as it will allow individuals to fly to outer space just as they were flying in commercial airplanes.  It must not be forgotten that it is the economy class passengers and not the business class passengers that allow airlines to make some real and stable money.

Commercial spaceports:

Thus, this is where spaceports come into the light.  With the operation of commercial spaceports all over our world, then it would be possible to launch these spacecraft.  As more and more spaceports are formed in the world, then more companies like the Virgin Galactic can be formed to ferry people to outer space.

In fact one of the best examples of commercial spaceports is the SpacePort USA, which is founded in New Mexico, United States.

The SpacePort USA:

Spaceport USA is a government subsidized but privately invested facility.  In fact the land was provided by the state of New Mexico and many of the founding layers of the spaceport were completed by the Governor of New Mexico.

The electricity and the water supplies were brought by the state government, and the federal government put several incentives including tax incentives to allow entrepreneurs to invest in the spaceport USA.

With the help from the federal and the state government, it has been possible to take care of many of the needed groundwork for the spaceport.  It is thought that in time, many of the commercial flights that take place will be handled by the Spaceport in New Mexico, USA.

It is expected that the SpacePort in New Mexico will generate millions of dollars in revenue for the area and it will cause many jobs and employment all around the country.

Of course, SpacePorts for Space Travel can be the stepping stones to an expended space programs.  In addition, spaceports are a good way to generate revenue for the underdeveloped nations.  There are many opportunities for spaceports, especially in the African countries with their vast plain lands.

For example, the French Space port in the French Guinea is one of the good examples of a spaceport in a remote location.  Of course, not every launch facility is a spaceport as a spaceport must have the ability to accommodate private sector.

Nowadays the Russians are ahead with the spaceport concept but with the multiplication of spaceports in the various nations of the Earth, soon space technology will be more common place for all of us. It will also create more jobs ad high revenue to the countries that these spaceports are located at.
